As a foodblogger I have numerous friends and family asking me where’s good to eat. From date nights with panoramic views to Disney themed afternoon teas for their very own Princesses.
The new requests I’ve been constantly getting as a result of the Instagram feed exploding with blossom displays (one which I am guilty of contributing to) is floral instagrammable cafes in London. So here are some of the finest for pretty lattes next to beautiful blooms.
8) Peggy Porschen
It’s difficult to miss Peggy Porschen off any list that measures itself against being pretty and pink. As an institution it’s a must go to, however with posh cupcakes and overpriced iced biscuits it’s not a surprise that there’s more people visiting the parlour to take photos of the canopy of the door than to actually sit and enjoy the goods inside this tiny bakery.

7) Feya
To the new kid on the block who’s looked around all the pretty cafes and said I can do one better. Yes you’ve got the pastel peach soft furnishing, the marble surfaces and gold rimmed finishing touches but unfortunately for service there’s no competition. The place was near empty and although there were few staff behind the counter they seemed pretty disinterested in the customers. When I visit a newly opened place I usually like to ask a little about it (I’m sad like this) and the staff were very blasé, an attitude which was also exhibited in the service they provided.
The place itself was an instagrammer’s dream, with an epic cherry blossom tree beginning from the window, arching over the dessert display to covering most of the ceiling, just breath-taking, the array of pastries utterly delectable and the presentation of food is sublime, pink avo toast anyone?

6) Saint Aymes
Saint Aymes brought a little sparkle and gold along with the floral backdrops and hanging wisteria. Each section of the café is beautifully furnished with stunning pieces from their collection of mirrored cabinets to opulent chaise lounges. Each corner of the café is then heavily immersed in blossoms making everywhere you sit and sip an photo opportunity. When that’s tired you out you can bring your camera’s out again for their oh so pretty unicorn biscuits, rainbow cake and their signature 22ct gold lattes. Heaven!

5) Aubaine at Selfridges
Aubaine has been a longstanding favourite, nestled inside Selfridges it is a shopper’s haven. Although it’s a bistro, Aubaine with its wisteria hysteria tag and first relentless appearance on the floral feed is what inspired me to look out for similar cafes, plus everyone comes here mainly for the dessert, right? I love the classic look of the restaurant with white and grey furniture, mirrored panels, the flooding of natural lighting and of course the dash of purple bringing the place to life with a ceiling covered in wisteria. Imagine a long day of shopping, all a girl really wants at the end is a waiter to bring over the dessert platter which she can enjoy under some wisteria whilst overlooking London Town.

4) Butterscotch
Most instagramable cafes know the best way to get customers snapping, tagging and actually visiting is to have the most eye catching floral display outside. (Look at this whole list as an example!) Butterscotch in its very demure way manages to peak interest without trying very hard. It is then by not expecting too much you are left in awe when you walk in and realise you are standing on top of a stairway of a room covered with white flowers from the very high ceiling, all across the walls to the beautiful seating below.
I especially loved the contrast between the copper and bright white, the décor was minimalist but beautifully done with hanging vases, guilded mirrors and rose gold tiled floors. The window display of cakes and baked goods wasn’t as extravagant as the others but perhaps it really is a case of ‘less is more.’

3) Fait Maison – Salon de the et traiteur
My bestie from out of town came to visit me in London and wanted to go to a ‘pretty place’, she also likes her food and wants something substantial over petit portions covered in rose petals. So I took her to Fait Maison. It was a beautiful summer’s day so I envisioned us eating alfresco with the backdrop of the stunning pastel floral window display. However, once we stepped inside we knew we’d definitely be dining in. The Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean menu was mouth-watering and the service was impeccable. The waiter was there at our every whim and we weren’t rushed at all despite our very long stay. They also have a private room, which made me want to throw myself an imaginary bridal shower and the attention to detail on the décor was flawless all the way to inside the ladies room. (They have a Japanese toilet hence why the special mention!)

2) Elan
The original floral café, I remember seeing pics of Elan on Instagram and nearly every lifestyle blogger had blog posted it. The café really is, if not more beautiful in reality and thus the endless queuing continues. Some have said the food isn’t’ as great or filling as other underrated cafes and it is perhaps this trend that continues now with more cafes; style over substance. Personally, I loved my experience, the place was busy with quick turnovers so we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The window display for desserts and pastries continued all the way to delicious savoury dishes so plenty to choose from and of course, the décor and floral installations were spot on. Going in during Valentines meant it was also the perfect setting for brunch with the besties.

1) Dominic Ansel Bakery
Belgravia in Bloom always makes London look the prettiest this time of year so it’s no surprise all the cafes and boutiques put on a good show. I took one of my friends on the flower trail and each of the displays were more beautiful than the last (thank you Les Senteurs!) So it’s only natural my friend would expect the final destination to be a showstopper and Dominc Ansel Bakery really was! Creative Events London designed a splendid canopy of lush green and bright colourful flower entrance in to the bakery. Their ‘Seed to Flowers’ theme continued to the back terrace really encapsulating a feel for London summer. And if the floral installation wasn’t enough to get the number one spot, let’s not forget nothing beats Dominic Ansel’s pastries and desserts!

If there are other floral cafe’s you want me to visit or review message or DM on instagram. Let me know your thoughts on your favorite as well. Have a blooming good weekend!

Love this blog post! And so needed right now, when there are floral cafes popping up left right and centre. It’s nice to visit each of these for the gram, but actually the food and service is so important as you don’t want to end up in a disappointing place. Need to try out fait mason! Thanks for this!!
